Theo Weiss is a curator and writer based in London. He specialises in modern and contemporary international art and writes about postcolonial visual culture, the geopolitics of art and the infrastructures of art making. 

He is currently Curator of Modern & Contemporary Art at the UK Government Art Collection, and previously worked at the British Museum and the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. 

Theo has curated acclaimed exhibitions and worked with collections and curators in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe. He holds a PhD in cultural history from the University of Cambridge and in 2022 was awarded the Jonathan Ruffer Curatorial Grant. His work has been supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Art Fund.
